Padres NLDS Ticket Restriction

Good: San Diego Padres have restrictions placed on who can purchase NLDS tickets

The San Diego Padres are pulling out all the stops to keep Los Angeles Dodgers fans from flooding Petco Park during the National League Division Series.

With the Dodgers boasting a massive fanbase just a stone’s throw away from San Diego, it’s no surprise that their supporters have traditionally turned Petco Park into a sea of blue whenever the two teams play each other.

To counter this trend, the Padres are stepping up their game, implementing measures to ensure that the home crowd has the upper hand. From ticketing restrictions to promotional campaigns aimed at locals, San Diego is determined to create a true home-field advantage.

Padres restrict access on purchasing tickets for the NLDS

Is this soft? Absolutely but at the same time, I can’t help but support the decision.

If the Philadelphia Phillies end up hosting the New York Mets in the NLDS, I would like to see something similar in place to keep the rats out of Citizens Bank Park this weekend.

San Diego is 2 hours and 5 minutes from Los Angeles. The drive is a total of 124.7 miles.

Philly is 2 hours and 33 minutes from Queens, New York. The drive is a total of 118.7 miles.

If you’re a Mets or Dodgers fan, good luck.

There will be no “takeovers” or nonsense when you come to play in San Diego or Philadelphia. Don’t argue against it. Implement the same rules at your ballpark and let’s all move on cordially.
