Report: Eagles expected to have A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Lane Johnson back this week vs. Browns
The Philadelphia Eagles are getting some serious firepower back for their Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
According to NFL Insider James Palmer, star wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are expected to return from their respective injuries this week. It’s the news Eagles fans have been waiting for, especially after the team had some time to rest and recover during their bye week.
My understanding is the #eagles are expecting to have their top WRs A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) back this week vs the #browns.

Brown has been out since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 2, and the offense hasn’t been the same without him. He practiced on a limited basis leading up to last week’s game against Tampa Bay but wasn’t quite ready to go. Now, it looks like the dynamic wideout is finally set to return.
As for Smith, he’s been in concussion protocol since taking a hard hit in Week 3 during the Eagles’ win over the Saints. He missed practice the following week, but signs indicate he should clear protocol.
When these two last played together in Week 1 against Green Bay, the Eagles’ offense racked up 410 yards and 34 points. Getting both of Jalen Hurts’ top targets back could be the spark the offense needs.
NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark also reports that All-Pro RT Lane Johnson should be ‘good to go’ on Sunday after missing Week 4 with a concussion.
