Xfinity Live! Phillies NLDS

WATCH: Xfinity Live! goes CRAZY for the Nick Castellanos walk off, Mets fan suffers alone in a sea of Phillies fans

Xfinity Live! was silenced through the first 1.5 games of the NLDS and just when it looked like the Phillies were dead men walking, they pulled off a wild comeback that had a sold out crowd at Citizens Bank Park roaring as they completed a comeback 7-6 win against the New York Mets to even the National League Division series 1-1 with Game 3 in Queens tomorrow night.

It was a Game 2 that I really hope, from the bottom of my heart felt like the worst gut punch possible for New York Mets fans. Somehow, the Philadelphia Phillies snatched a 7-6 win in walk-off fashion, tying up the NLDS at 1-1.

The Return of The Fightins: Phillies walk off the Mets, send NLDS to Queens knotted 1-1

The Mets, who’ve been comeback kings all season, responded with a two-run homer from Mark Vientos in the ninth to tie it at 6-6. But in the bottom half, Mets reliever Tylor Megill walked both Turner and Harper with two outs, setting the stage for Castellanos to deliver the final blow—a walk-off single to complete the wild comeback.

Across the street, Xfinity Live! was jam-packed with Phillies fans and they went absolutely insane for Casty’s walk off heroics. One of the coolest (and maybe only) features of Xfinity Live! is the streaming camera that captures the crowd inside.

Needless to say, they were ready for the walk off.

Xfinity Live! Goes Insane for Nick Castellanos Walk Off

Mets Fan Suffering Alone: ‘Hello Darkness My Old Friend…”

Good. The New York Mets are dead men walking. This fan knew it as Xfinity Live! lost their damn minds and he sat there, lifeless and looking for any sign of hope before it was too late.

Unfortunately for this Mets fan and the team itself, it is too late.

The Mets know they got beyond lucky in Game 1 as the Phillies choked away a Zack Wheeler Masterclass. This series should easily be 2-0 with Aaron Nola on the mound in Queens tomorrow night to send the Mets to Cancun.

That didn’t happen. Fine. Whatever.

What did happen, was the Mets allowing the return of “The Fightins” and it’s really bad news for opposing pitching staffs (or lack thereof) who have to deal with the awakening of Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, and Nick Castellanos.

Just like that, the Phillies have their swagger back and will head to New York with some serious momentum on their side. If Game 2 was any indication, the remainder of this series is going to be a back-and-forth fist fight but man, do I feel great with Nola on the mound tomorrow in Queens.

Ring It.
