Paul George Injury Update

Injury Update: Paul George expected to miss 76ers’ next 2 games on the road with bone bruise in left knee

The Philadelphia 76ers will have to wait a little while longer to get their first look at their big three – Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George.

Paul George will miss Philadelphia’s upcoming two-game road trip against the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers due to a bone bruise in his left knee. George continues to progress well from the injury and the team will provide another update next week.

Paul George sustained the bone bruise in a preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks when he unfortunately hyper-extended his left knee in an attempt to defend Atlanta wing Jalen Johnson.

George appeared in only two preseason games for the 76ers – including the Hawks contest.

He contributed 23 points and 6 rebounds on 8-15 shooting from the field in his preseason debut versus the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Joel Embiid and George were sidelined in the 76ers’ season-opener against the Milwaukee Bucks 124-109 in a game where Philadelphia could’ve used his offensive production.

How will the 76ers manage?

Philadelphia is 0-1 to start the season and should have no problem getting its first win over an equally banged-up Raptors team tomorrow, but a loss to the Pacers could be in store for the short-handed 76ers.

The 76ers should be able to come out of this two-game road swing at 1-2 with a chance to get back to .500 against Tobias Harris and the Detroit Pistons – a game Embiid and George could ironically make their debuts.
