He’s Back: Jalen Hurts dominates as Eagles blowout Bengals 37-17
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles just put the NFL on notice.
In what was easily his best game since last year against Buffalo, Hurts lit up the field with four total touchdowns, leading the Birds to a commanding 37-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. This wasn’t just a game — it was a statement.
Hurts owned every second of the second half, putting the team on his back and driving them to their second consecutive blowout victory.
The numbers speak for themselves:
- 16/20 comp.
- 236 passing yards
- 1 passing TD
- 3 rushing TDs
- 37 rushing yards
- 132.5 passer rating
This is the version of Hurts fans have been waiting for, and he delivered, pushing Philadelphia to a 5-2 record (3-0 after the bye week). On the other side, Cincinnati fell to 3-5, still struggling for a home win this season as Joe Burrow and the Bengals were left searching for answers.
Hurts tied his career high with three rushing touchdowns, becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to log three games with three or more rushing touchdowns.
It wasn’t just Hurts putting on a show. In the third quarter, he launched a beautiful 45-yard bomb to DeVonta Smith that cemented the lead.

Saquon Barkley kept the ground game rolling with 100+ rushing yards, his sixth time hitting that milestone in seven games. A.J. Brown caught five passes for 84 yards. The Eagles offense scored on six of seven possessions with only one punt.
Hurts was lights-out in the second half, completing a perfect 9-of-9 passes for 150 yards.
Over his last three games, Hurts has completed 71.2% of his passes for 614 yards, four touchdowns, zero turnovers (!), and a 127.4 passer rating.
Vic Fangio’s defense also came through, limiting Ja’Marr Chase to just 54 receiving yards. Burrow targeted Chase deep in the 4th quarter but was intercepted by C.J. Gardner-Johnson off a deflection by Isaiah Rodgers.

After a slow start in 2024, the Eagles are beginning to peak at the right time.
They’ll look to carry the momentum against the Jaguars (2-6) at home next week.
