WATCH: Bears’ CB Tyrique Stevenson taunts fans as Commanders walk it off with a Hail Mary

Brutal look for Chicago cornerback Tyrique Stevenson.

An absolutely ridiculous video has emerged from the Bears’ 18-15 collapse against the Washington Commanders on Sunday showing Stevenson taunting fans instead of playing defense on the final play of the game.

The Bears had the game seemingly locked up after scoring a touchdown with just 25 seconds left to go up 15-12. But this is the NFL—nothing’s guaranteed, especially when your players decide to mentally check out during the most crucial moment of the game.

With two seconds left and Washington stuck at its own 48-yard line, the Commanders had no choice but to attempt a Hail Mary. And somehow, they pulled it off, thanks in part to Stevenson, who might have been the least locked-in player on the field.

As the Commanders lined up for one last heave, Stevenson was caught on a fan’s video taunting Washington fans—while the play was in progress. Yep, you read that right. He was busy talking trash instead of focusing on making sure his team secured the win.

Stevenson ended up being the guy who tipped the ball, and his blunder turned into a gift for Washington’s Noah Brown, who snagged it for the game-winning touchdown. Talk about an all-time bad look.

It’s one thing to get chippy between plays, but this was the definition of being oblivious. The ball had already been snapped, yet Stevenson seemed more interested in hyping himself up than defending the end zone.

His awareness level was zero, and it’s hard to see how his teammates or coaches let this slide. When you’re more focused on showboating than closing out a game, you deserve to be the scapegoat.

It’s fitting that Stevenson’s taunting ultimately came back to bite him. His gaffe wasn’t just a mental lapse—it was the kind of carelessness that loses football games.

Chicago fans won’t forget this one anytime soon, and you can bet that Stevenson will have a hard time living it down in the locker room this week.
