Jalen Hurts couldn’t help but laugh after seeing Saquon Barkley’s reverse hurdle during Eagles vs. Jaguars Week 9
Much like myself and all of Philadelphia, even Mr. Stone face, Jalen Hurts couldn’t help but “break character” when he witnessed Saquon Barkley’s once in a lifetime play on Sunday. If there were ever an indicator of how truly insane this play was, Hurts’ reaction here would sum it up. Given his nature of being Kobe Bryant like in games in regards to how focused and even keel he is.
Every time the Eagles step onto the field in those iconic kelly green jerseys, it’s like they’ve unlocked a whole new level of game-day magic. It’s not just nostalgia—the whole stadium atmosphere transforms, almost as if we’re all part of a football movie. There’s something cinematic about it, and Sunday’s game was no exception.
Take that jaw-dropping Saquon Barkley play, for instance. It’s the kind of moment that’ll be replayed for years, the kind that would seem too unreal if you saw it in a film or one of those football TV dramas where the on-field action always feels a bit off. But no, this was real, and it added to the mythical quality of the night. When the Eagles don the kelly green, it’s like we’re witnessing a script that writes itself—and one that always seems to favor Philly.

I now can’t decide which reaction I like more, Jalen Hurts or the entire sidelines during that play. What a moment nonetheless that not only has to go down in Eagles history but I’m curious to see it where it ranks in NFL history for best plays ever.

I think I’m at the point now where as a fan base we must demand this team wear the Kelly green jerseys for every single home playoff game and most notably the Super Bowl if they are able to get back. Can someone explain to me why the NFL wouldn’t allow such a request?
