Jason Kelce details news regarding role with ESPN and how he’s going to dominate media coverage

Ladies and gentlemen, we are officially in the Jason Kelce era’s tour of entertainment. The man doesn’t just dominate the NFL for a decade and deliver the best Super Bowl speeches—now he’s about to take over late-night TV. That’s right, Kelce is teaming up with ESPN to host a brand-new show called They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce.

The best center in NFL history broke the news on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday night, casually confirming the news for prime time telivision. And honestly, can we say we’re surprised? If anyone’s built to bring locker room banter to the late-night stage, it’s Jason freaking Kelce.

This isn’t your typical cookie-cutter late-night show, either. It’s gonna be a Kelce special—raw, hilarious, and packed with personality. Buckle up, Philly. Late-night TV just got its center.

Jason Kelce details ness regarding his role with ESPN

“I loved late-night shows. I’ve always loved them. I remember sleepovers watching Conan O’Brien with my friends, and it’s like what are we doing here?” Kelce told Kimmel. “For me, the biggest thing that players say they miss when they leave the sport is being around the guys, is the locker room, is the banter. Being able to have the show where we’re gonna have a bunch of guys up there — legends of the game, friends that I played the game with, coaches, celebrities, while also incorporating NFL Films, who is gonna be a part of it. … Being able to play some of these iconic NFL songs. It’s gonna be a celebration.”

So, clear your calendars, fans. Starting January 3, Jason Kelce is taking over late-night TV for five straight Fridays, because why not? The show is a one-hour late-night bonanza that’ll air at 1:00 a.m. EST for the first four episodes, with the finale pushing back to 1:30 a.m. (Probably because they’re saving the wildest stuff for last.) Oh, and this masterpiece is being filmed live at Union Transfer. You couldn’t pick a more gritty, blue-collar Philly spot if you tried.

Kelce’s been riding high since retiring earlier this year at 36, sliding into a gig on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown. Turns out, this late-night idea was in the works from the jump. ESPN probably saw the goldmine they had in Kelce and said, “Yeah, let’s make this happen.”

But because it’s Kelce, it doesn’t stop there. Dude’s been staying spicy off the field, too—most recently going viral after a run-in with a fan who chirped his brother, Travis. Classic Kelce, ready to throw hands for family. He apologized on air, but let’s be honest—Philly eats that up.

January can’t come fast enough. Jason Kelce, late-night TV, and a Philly live crowd? Say less.
