Eagles troll the Ravens by lighting the Linc purple after Sundays win

The only reason the Linc would be lit up any other color than green would have to be dependent on the holiday and time of a year; one would think, right?

Well, I guess we forgot about the time where the Eagles marched into Baltimore and upset the “AFC Powerhouse” Ravens in front of the whole world, because that certainly warranted the Eagles and The Linc to light up their home purple.

Following the Eagles 24-19 win over the Ravens, a video surfaced on Twitter of someone driving by Lincoln Financial Field, and showcasing bright purple lights.

Before all the cringe people on the internet throw around the term “rent-free” and all that garbage, let’s just make something clear. If you hold up your end of the stick; meaning win, then you have every right to troll and celebrate.

I mean just look at what happened after that Michigan and Ohio State game this weekend. Clearly people don’t mind dishing it out, but can’t take it when it’s thrown back at them- especially if they are the ones on the losing end.

After further investigation, it turns out that several stadiums in the NFL were lit up purple on November 21st, for World Pancreatic Cancer Day.

Obviously, this caused some major uproar in the comments of this video, but at the same time, that almost makes it even better, right? Killer troll video after what happened last Sunday and it raised awareness about a serious issue with November 21st, being World Pancreatic Cancer Day. Sounds like we just killed two birds with one stone, right?

I’m still not 100% sure when this video was taken. It was posted December 3rd on Twitter, which would be way after World Pancreatic Cancer Day. Maybe The Linc saw the lights and jumped on the opportunity to use them again after the Eagles game?

Who knows. Either way, I love seeing our home football stadium lit up with the blood color of our enemies. Big win last Sunday and now, we have to keep it rolling this weekend against the Carolina Panthers. I’ll tell you right now, if we see The Linc lit up in Carolina Blue after the game on Sunday, then don’t say you were surprised.
