Adam Schefter continues misinformation campaign on Jalen Hurts, says he’s still in concussion protocol on Monday afternoon
Honestly, I have no idea what’s up with Adam Schefter and his lousy updates on Jalen Hurts.
On Christmas, he fired off a tweet about Hurts not practicing. What was conveniently missed was that that the Eagles didn’t even practice on Christmas Day, making the injury report he referenced nothing more than a projected list of who wouldn’t have practiced.

Adam Schefter fumbles Christmas tweet on Jalen Hurts’ practice availability
Swing and a Miss from Adam Schefter…
Schefter’s usually the gold standard for NFL insiders, but this was a major slip-up. Dishing out a tweet about Jalen Hurts’ availability, viewed over 2.4 million times on Twitter, without clarifying that it was a projected report?
That’s a rookie mistake—not something you expect from the man who lives and breathes breaking news.
All of that brought us to yesterday, when Schefty took another swing at Jalen Hurts, announcing that he was still in concussion protocol.
Adam Schefter is Engagement Farming or Simply Hates Jalen at this point…lol
Another dumb tweet given the fact that Hurts never even had the opportunity to pass concussion protocol on a Monday. He will have to wait until the team practices on Wednesday before he’s allowed to be cleared for play.
If you want a little extra reassurance on Hurts’ availability, then look no further than the Eagles dropping a Wild Card Weekend graphic featuring, you guessed it, Jalen Hurts front and center.
“Look at Jalen Hurts, man…Incredible”
Side Note: Let’s Hunt is a way better slogan than “It’s A Philly Thing” – nice work there
Anyways, I wouldn’t be too concerned about Jalen Hurts playing on Sunday. Boots on the ground seem to indicate that Hurts was walking around, in good spirits, and drinking smoothies with Kenny Pickett inside the NoveCare Complex.
Jalen Hurts will be just fine. Thanks Roob.
“Nobody is concerned about it”- except Adam Schefter I guess. It’s funny to watch these national media guys drum up narratives when they know damn well how things actually work in the NFL. I don’t believe for a second that Schefty fired out the concussion protocol tweet not realizing that Hurts can’t even clear until Wednesday.
We’re talking about a veteran member of the media. If anything, it was a designed misinformation attempt to distract everyone from the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles are significantly better team than the Green Bay Packers and this game shouldn’t even be close.
