LISTEN: Former Eagles punter Sean Landeta calls out Spike Eskin; says 94WIP is ‘TMZ Radio’

The Philadelphia Eagles have a playoff game this weekend. You probably already knew that, but 94WIP — the Eagles flagship station — was more concerned with locker room gossip this week.

The main culprit is everyone’s favorite Nepo Baby, Spike Eskin. On Wednesday, the afternoon show decided to have former Eagles punter Sean Landeta call in. Earlier that day, Freddie Mitchell was on the morning show doing what FredEx does best — talk out of his ass.

Mitchell told the morning show that Landeta used to shave his junk in the sauna. Not sure why anyone would care about that but the entire day was inexplicably dedicated to this bit. When Landeta called in, he unleashed fury on Eskin and the afternoon show, calling 94WIP “TMZ radio.”

Easily one of the cringiest moments in recent Philly sports radio history.

This afternoon show with Eskin, Ike Reese, and Jack Fritz has really lost its way. It’s almost like they want to talk about everything besides sports. Earlier this week, with Fritz out of the office, they decided to have a AI Fritz call in and did a whole bit with it.

This might be even worse than the Landeta fiasco:

This kind of stuff isn’t inherently bad on radio, it just doesn’t work in Philly. No one wants to listen to this kind of stuff, especially with an Eagles postseason game just days away.
