With snow starting to fall in South Philly, Saquon Barkley finally put his stamp on the game late in the first quarter. His explosive 62-yard touchdown run gave the Eagles a 13-7 lead after Jake Elliott—thankfully—connected on the extra point this time.

Oh, and shoutout to Rams rookie edge rusher Jared Verse, who got the full Saquon experience. Barkley took his sweet time turning around near the goal line, making sure to glance at Verse helplessly chasing him into the end zone.

It’s poetic, really. Verse spent all week trash-talking the Eagles and their fans, even throwing some shots pregame. Turns out, the only thing Verse hates more than Eagles fans is having to watch Barkley torch his defense.

For all the talk about the Rams’ improved run defense since their Week 12 embarrassment, they’re still getting gashed on the ground.

Between Hurts’ opening 44-yard scamper and now Saquon Barkley’s highlight-reel moment, the Eagles have reminded everyone why they’re the league’s most dominant rushing offense.
