Ohio State quarterback Will Howard gave a shoutout to Downingtown, PA after winning the College Football National Championship
Will Howard and the Ohio State Buckeyes defeated Notre Dame last night 34-23 to win the College Football National Championship.
Howard completed 17 of 21 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns. His 56-yard pass to freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith late in the fourth quarter helped secure the win.
Alright you got me, I can’t pretend to give two-shits about Ohio State, Will Howard, or Notre Dame. This was the worst matchup of the College Football Playoffs outside of Notre Dame and Penn State but hey, at least Will Howard is from Downingtown, Pennsylvania right?
Nope. Howard gave a shoutout to his hometown after winning the Natty, saying that he wouldn’t even be there without his friends and family who bet on him in D-Town.
A nice gesture for sure, but I do have a few comments about Will Howard and the Ohio State Buckeyes, along with the fact that the quarterback didn’t spend his college career playing for the Temple Owls.
Ohio State Quarterback Will Howard Gives Shoutout to Downingtown, Pennsylvania
Honestly, Will Howard should have stayed in Pennsylvania and went to Temple University. Then he would earn my respect. Jumping around the country and playing football for anyone outside the Temple Owls seems pretty lame, right?
It gets even more dicey when Ohio State’s largest donor, Leslie Wexner, funded Jeffrey Epstein’s blackmail operation and also bought Will Howard and the entire football program’s roster. Mix in “Aint No Party Like A Diddy Party” supporter LeBron James and we have a full-blown scandal inside the Buckeyes locker room.
Anyways, I’ll save you some time. I’m allowed to comment on behalf of Downingtown since I’m happily married living right next door in Exton. My little brother owns a home in Downingtown and I grew up in Glen Mills (shoutout DELCO), so please, don’t even start questioning me about the area or if I’m qualified to talk about it.
Question: Is Will Howard a Philly sports fan? Bryce Harper was there and I didn’t see any photos of him bending the knee? What gives?
On top of that, let’s make sure that Penn State fans don’t join the conversation. Yes, they are in desperate need of a quarterback but I would never push for any athlete to play in Happy Valley and that’s coming from someone who didn’t even go to Temple University.
On top of that, Will Howard was just a 3-star recruit out of high school and barely received any offers from power programs, getting completely ignored by Penn State. The result was four years of football at Kansas State before heading to Ohio State- probably thanks to Leslie Wexner’s Epstein Blood Money.
Let it be known that I bleed Old Gold and Blue as a product of THE West Virginia University Mountaineers.
I have zero time for Penn State rats and really do wish that Philadelphia had a competent college sports program (Temple) that could actually compete on a National Level.
Shoutout D-Town and Will Howard, I guess. Here’s to hoping the next National Champion from the area stays true to his roots and brings Temple football back to the spotlight.
