Eagles Super Bowl Phans of Philly

Shoutout Phans of Philly: Eagles listed as top traveling fanbase during regular season and Super Bowl LIX will be no different

Super Bowl LIX between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans isn’t just another championship game—it’s one of the hottest tickets in over a decade.

According to Vivid Seats, this year’s showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs is the third most in-demand Super Bowl ticket in the past 10 years and the biggest event in the Superdome in 17 years, surpassing everything from Super Bowl XLVII to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop in 2024.

Side Note: Taylor Swift needs to rep her hometown Eagles or she’s banned from Philly >>

Super Bowl Ticket Prices Are Skyrocketing

With the Chiefs chasing history—trying to become the first team ever to win three straight Super Bowls—ticket prices have surged to an average of $7,259 on Vivid Seats. If you’re just trying to get in the door, the cheapest ticket available as of January 28 is $4,516.

For comparison, demand for tickets is up 204% from the last time New Orleans hosted the Super Bowl (Ravens-49ers in 2013) and 38% higher than the last Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl matchup two years ago.

Top 5 Most Expensive Super Bowl Tickets (Average Sold Price):

  1. Super Bowl LV (2021) – Bucs vs. Chiefs
  2. Super Bowl LVIII (2024) – Chiefs vs. 49ers
  3. Super Bowl LIX (2025) – Chiefs vs. Eagles
  4. Super Bowl LVI (2022) – Bengals vs. Rams
  5. Super Bowl LIV (2020) – Chiefs vs. 49ers

Eagles Fans Are Taking Over Again

Last time the Eagles and Chiefs met in the Super Bowl, Eagles fans dominated the crowd 62-38. I have zero doubt that history will repeat itself this year in New Orleans.

According to Vivid Seats’ Fan Forecast, Eagles fans were the top traveling fanbase in the NFL this season, tied with the 49ers at 46% of the crowd in road games. That’s higher than Chiefs fans, who have a strong home presence but travel slightly less.

Top 5 NFL Traveling Fanbases:

  1. Philadelphia Eagles – 46%
  2. San Francisco 49ers – 46%
  3. Buffalo Bills – 42%
  4. Chicago Bears – 39%
  5. Las Vegas Raiders – 39%

Shoutout Phans of Philly – They deserve a TON of credit in getting Eagles fans on the road

I would be foolish to not mention Phans of Philly.

We traveled with them to New Orleans during the regular season and have been to multiple Eagles away games with them over the past three years.

Phans already sold out of their charter flights to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX but definitely still have tailgate packages available.

Kendrick Lamar’s Halftime Show Is Also Driving Demand

It’s not just the game pulling people in—Kendrick Lamar’s Halftime Show is a massive draw. When he was announced as the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime performer, Vivid Seats saw:

  • A 192% spike in visits to Kendrick’s ticket page.
  • A 1,530% surge in Super Bowl ticket searches.

Travel Costs: Philly vs. KC

If you’re trying to make the trip to New Orleans, it’s going to cost you—especially if you’re coming from Kansas City.

Flights (Round Trip):

Philadelphia to New Orleans: $224 (Direct flights doubled/tripled for game weekend).

Kansas City to New Orleans: $1,064 (More than 4x the price of Philly flights).

Hotels: $1,212 per night on average in New Orleans over Super Bowl weekend.

Looks like Philly fans have the travel edge, both in numbers and costs. Shoutout Phans of Philly. Eagles fans will be out in force, bringing their signature energy, volume, and maybe even some green-clad chaos to Bourbon Street.
