Is Taylor Swift an Eagles fan? Either she was lying to her fans or Travis Kelce was lying during Super Bowl Opening Night

I can’t get over the fact that Travis Kelce is basically gaslighting everyone on Super Bowl Opening Night and telling everyone that his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, has zero affiliation with the city of Philadelphia or the Eagles. 

Either that’s true and Taylor Swift is a liar or Travis Kelce is up there basically forcing his girl to root for the Kansas City Chiefs. Both of which, are not ideal for anyone involved.

I know the majority of you assholes don’t care about Taylor Swift and guess what, I don’t either. At the same time, there are a million females out there that are dying to know what celebrities are doing for Super Bowl LIX and no one, absolutely no one, is bigger than Taylor Swift.

Thank you. If you don’t like it and are just going to tell me to “focus on the game” I hear you, but that’s not how the content game works these days. We cover any and all angles here at The Liberty Line. Keep it moving.

Travis Kelce apparently doesn’t realize that Taylor Swift is in an Eagles fan?

Not a fan of the Eagles? Sorry, Travis but your girl has been on record MULTIPLE TIMES telling her millions of fans that she is, in fact, an Eagles fan- most notably at Lincoln Financial Field last year.

Let’s go back to Summer 2023. Taylor Swift came to South Philadelphia for three-straight, sold-out nights of her “Eras Tour” at Lincoln Financial Field. During the first night’s show, Swift took the time to clear up what was apparently a debate regarding the lyrics in one of her songs “Gold Rush”.  

The lyrics in question were “with my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door” and apparently her fanbase were confused on whether or not that was a reference to the band or the professional sports team.

Quick T-Swift Knowledge: Taylor Swift is a West Reading, Pennsylvania native who has sang at Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Phillies games when she was younger. Swift addressed the lyrics directly while performing in front of a sold out crowd at The Linc, saying the following:

If Taylor Swift shows up to Super Bowl LIX in anything but Eagles gear, we must issue her a lifetime ban from EVER performing again in the city Philadelphia

Either you’re way too controlling of Taylor Swift and gatekeeping her sports fandom or you’re completely wrong about where her allegiances truly are.

On the other side of the equation, if it turns out that Taylor Swift is the one who was lying to her fans, then that’s a whole different issue. 

Either way, ban the Swift family from ever coming to the city of Philadelphia if they show up to the Superdome wearing anything BUT Eagles gear on Sunday. 

As for Taylor Swift’s father, I have already deemed that he’s a traitor. Any true Eagles fan wouldn’t change their fandom just because their daughter dates someone from an opposing team and/or fanbase.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift aren’t even married. There’s no reason to change where your loyalties lie over their stupid, Hollywood relationship. 

At the end of the day, this just leads us back to what I wrote about earlier in the week.

If Taylor Swift or really, anyone in the Swift family decide to show up to Super Bowl LIX on Sunday wearing anything but Philadelphia Eagles gear, then they should be given a lifetime ban from the city.
