Jalen Hurts Dan Orlovsky Apology

Dan Orlovsky bends the knee, publicly apologizes to Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts shut everybody up on Sunday night, and Dan Orlovsky was the first in line to say, “My bad.” After spending the entire season questioning Hurts, Orlovsky went on First Take and issued a full-on apology to the Eagles’ quarterback for doubting his ability to win a Super Bowl.

Dan Orlovsky bends the knee, publicly apologizes to Jalen Hurts

“I owe, publicly, Jalen Hurts an apology,” Orlovsky admitted. “I was probably one of the hardest on him this year. I said the passing game wasn’t good enough and wasn’t going to get better. All he’s done since then is have his two best games of the year on the two biggest stages.”

That’s right—Orlovsky spent months ripping Hurts, only for him to light up the NFC Championship and then torch the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

Jalen Hurts’ Stat Line? Elite.

Jalen Hurts wasn’t just good in the Super Bowl—he was flat-out great.

📊 Super Bowl LIX Performance:
17-of-22 passing (77%)
221 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT
72 rushing yards, 1 TD
Super Bowl MVP

And let’s not forget, Jalen Hurts had already balled out in a Super Bowl before. Two years ago, in Super Bowl LVII, he put up:

📊 Super Bowl LVII Performance (Loss to Chiefs):
304 passing yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs
70 rushing yards, 3 rushing TDs

So the reality is, Jalen Hurts didn’t suddenly become clutch—he’s been that guy. The difference this time? Vic Fangio’s defense backed him up and didn’t let Mahomes walk all over them.

Dan Orlovsky’s Full 180°

Orlovsky was one of Hurts’ biggest critics all season. When the Eagles’ passing game struggled late in the year, he repeatedly said that Hurts wasn’t doing enough and that Philly’s offense wouldn’t hold up in the playoffs.

Turns out, he was dead wrong. (Shocker)

“He’s a big-game hunter,” Orlovsky said Monday. “He doesn’t let the outside noise affect him.” Orlovsky is not the only one eating crow right now. In fact, there’s an entire commercial airing post-Super Bowl highlighting how many people counted out Hurts this season.

Jalen Hurts: A Made Man

At this point, there’s nothing left to debate.

  • Two Super Bowl appearances in three years
  • Super Bowl MVP
  • Back-to-back Super Bowls with elite performances
  • More wins than any QB since 2022

Jalen Hurts is a champion.

And now, even the loudest doubters are finally giving him his flowers.
