Nick Wright was confronted by Jalen Hurts’ mom night before Super Bowl, FINALLY admits he’s an elite quarterback

FS1’s Nick Wright is, without question, the biggest Chiefs homer in the national sports media landscape. He’s also been one of the most vocal critics of the Birds and Jalen Hurts.

Obviously, the Eagles complete beatdown of Kansas City Sunday night hit home for Mr. Wright. During Monday’s episode of Fist Things First, he revealed that he was confronted by none other than Hurts’ mother the night before the Super Bowl.

According to him, she asked why he always talks so badly about Hurts and wouldn’t let it go. Once he figured out that it was his mom, he went on to lay out all the things he likes about Hurts. Then, in classic confident Hurts fashion, his mother hit Nick Wright with one final question — what are you going to say about Jalen WHEN he wins tomorrow.

Wright had nothing, and on Monday’s episode of First Things First, he finally admitted that Jalen Hurts is an elite quarterback and deserves his flowers.

I gotta say, as soon as the game ended, all I could think about is what all of these dweebs were going to say about this team and Hurts. Nick Wright was the one I really wanted to see bend the knee and admit defeat. And he did.

If this is what it was going to take to finally get some goddamn respect, then so be it.
