Jalen Hurts Disney World Parade

Super Bowl LIX MVP Jalen Hurts had his own victory parade in Disney World ahead of the Eagles’ parade in Philly on Friday

The Philadelphia Eagles just won Super Bowl LIX, Jalen Hurts just had the game of his life, and how does the NFL let him celebrate? A raging postgame party in New Orleans with his teammates? A quiet moment to soak it all in with his family? Nope.

Jalen Hurts was booked a plane ticket and sent straight to Disney World to wave at children while standing next to a grown man in a full Mickey Mouse costume.

That’s our Super Bowl LIX MVP, baby.

Honestly, I want to make fun of Disney World and the fact that Jalen Hurts probably doesn’t want to be there at all but all indications in the videos were that he had a lovely time alongside his fiancée Bry Burrows, taking in the sights and sounds of the Disney Parks during the parade and even hopping on a few rides in the process.

The “I’m going to Disney World!” tradition has been around since 1987. It’s hard not to look at it and think this is just the Mouse & Co. pulling off a massive corporate marketing stunt but as long as QB 1 is happy and his fiancée is enjoying herself, then there’s really nothing to complain about.

I’m doing my best to keep this post cordial while all I can think is: Man, this has to suck.

Jalen Hurts parading through Magic Kingdom with Mickey & Co…

Hurts just cemented his legacy, silenced his doubters, and brought Philly its second Super Bowl title in the last decade. While the majority of fans were nursing a hangover and/or still partying after Sunday’s victory, Hurts was parading through Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

Honestly, I’m upset that there wasn’t any videos of him “Drinking Around The World” in Epcot. That’s where he should have been, with a “hall pass” to light up another massive cigar while sipping on all the fine wine and spirits that the world has to offer. If you’re going to Disney World, that’s a no-brainer for adults, right?

I was however, impressed with all of the Eagles fans in attendance. I wonder if Eagles fans planned their trip, hoping that Hurts would stick to NFL Tradition and make an appearance in the most magical place on Earth following the win? I would have much rather gambled that vacation money on the Birds money line but to each their own.

Side Note: Love that Jalen Hurts was a few rows back on the roller coaster. Looks like that’s the new Tron ride at Magic Kingdom (Disney knowledge). This is a guy that is putting his health and safety first. A true franchise quarterback and Super Bowl MVP.

Again, I don’t know if Hurts even wanted to party. Maybe he’s just built different. Maybe he likes Disney World and was actually excited to do this. But if it were me? I’d at least like the option to NOT spend the first 24 hours after winning a Super Bowl taking PR photos with Goofy.

Again, Hurts is a classy guy and Bry Burrows could have been the driving force behind heading to Disney after the win. That’s perfectly fine with me. While Disney might not seem like “the move” after winning the Super Bowl these days, a relaxing night away outside of a silly parade might be nice, right? All of the sudden, I’m coming around on the idea.

Side Note: If my wife is reading this, we’re not going to Disney World. We leave tomorrow at 6:10 AM and head to Miami and then we are road tripping through the Florida Keys. Love you, hunny. It’s going to be 80 degrees and Sunny all week long!

Anyways, Jalen Hurts silenced any and all doubters, delivering a statement performance on Sunday against the Chiefs. While the defense completely obliterated Patrick Mahomes, Hurts completed 17-of-22 passes for 221 yards, rushing for 72 more, and accounting for three total touchdowns in that sweet, sweet, 40-22 beatdown of the Chiefs.

Last Side Note: I think we should all come to an agreement that game was literally 40-6. The garbage time points from Mahomes and the Chiefs should be erased from the scoreboard entirely.

Anyways, Jalen Hurts earned that trip to Disney World. He has a lifetime pass to do whatever he wants, anywhere he wants, as the leader of THE Philadelphia Eagles DYNASTY.

Hurts handled it like a pro, as he always does. Now hopefully, after doing his duty for the NFL-Disney Industrial Complex, he gets to actually enjoy his well-earned victory on his own terms.
