Pete Prisco needs a ‘wellness check’ after delivering one of the most insane ‘takes’ EVER on Super Bowl LIX MVP Jalen Hurts

Pete Prisco Is A Moron – Imagine watching Jalen Hurts go 18-3, win Super Bowl MVP, and outduel Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs Kingdom on the biggest stage possible, and then sitting down the following week to say you’d rather have C.J. Stroud, Dak Prescott, or Baker Mayfield over him for the next five years.

If your head hasn’t exploded yet, imagine putting Trevor Lawrence on the same level as Hurts.

You might think I’m being an asshole but I’m not. That type of statement or ‘take’ is something that should have never been said. It’s a classic case of peak football brain rot, and yet here we are, thanks to Pete Prisco.

Prisco isn’t some ESPN hot-take machine. He’s been covering the NFL for three decades, so you’d think he’d have better judgment.

But this? I honestly think that someone needs to call a wellness check in for Pete Prisco along with CBS Sports for allowing him to speak such nonsense to a television audience.

How Does Hurts Get Less Respect After Winning a Super Bowl?

It almost feels like some analysts went into full pretzel mode after the Eagles won it all.

Before the season, the argument against Hurts was that he needed to prove he could win on the biggest stage. They questioned his ability to throw the football. They questioned his ability to lead an offense and criticized the fact that he has so many weapons around him, which somehow diminished his abilities as quarterback.

Well, as the majority of rational-thinking people know at this point, Jalen Hurts silenced everyone who spent months shitting on him…except Pete Prisco apparently.

The Chiefs sold out to stop Saquon Barkley in the Super Bowl, so Jalen Hurts completed 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns, added 72 rushing yards and a Tush Push TD, and delivered one absolute beauty of a deep ball DAGGER to DeVonta Smith en route to taking home MVP and a Lombardi Trophy.

And yet, somehow according to Pete Prisco, Jalen Hurts not a top-tier QB?

Give me a fucking break. At least if you’re going to run your mouth, make it make sense.

Does Pete Prisco even watch football? The “other” quarterbacks in his ridiculously stupid ‘take’ are literally no where close to the talent-level Hurts brings to the Eagles and football in general.

I don’t even want to do this but sure, let’s break this down for Pete Prisco and anyone who’s foolish enough to agree with the nonsense he was spewing in the above video clip.

Trevor Lawrence is one year younger than Hurts, has had one good NFL season, and the only reason people still gas him up is because of pre-draft hype. Jacksonville fans would probably pick Hurts over him without hesitation.

C.J. Stroud threw for fewer touchdowns and more interceptions in Year 2 than he did as a rookie. His sophomore season was worse and he doesn’t add anything with his legs. His team lost in the playoffs because he couldn’t move the ball against a defense that Hurts put 40 on in the Super Bowl.

Dak Prescott is turning 32 and has never taken his team to a conference championship game. He’s 2-5 in the playoffs, and the only reason he threw for 4,500 yards two years ago was because he attempted 590 passes. You want to compare that to a guy who just won a ring while leading one of the most dominant teams in the league?

Baker Mayfield had a solid year, but let’s not act like he didn’t throw 16 picks and lose at home to the Commanders in the Wild Card round because he botched a handoff. Respect to him for reviving his career, but if you’d take him over Hurts, you need your brain examined.

Wellness Check Needed for Pete Prisco

At this point, someone needs to check on Pete Prisco because this is not normal behavior. How old is he? Does he have family around to monitor him? Because after listening to that shit, I’m convinced that this man belongs in a retirement home rather than on television talking about football.

This is full-blown JHDS—Jalen Hurts Derangement Syndrome—at its most extreme, and it is reaching peak insanity.

• He really said he’d take C.J. Stroud, Dak Prescott, and Baker Mayfield over Jalen Hurts.
• He called Hurts and Trevor Lawrence “even.”
• And again, he did all of this after Hurts just went 18-3, won Super Bowl MVP, and out-dueled Patrick Mahomes.

Pete, buddy, are you good? Do you need someone to explain how football works? Or do you just have some deep-seated vendetta against Hurts that needs professional help? Because at this point, it’s looking like the latter.

I’m genuinely worried about him. Not because his takes are bad (they are), but because they are so disconnected from reality that I’m wondering if he even remembers what sport he’s watching.

Someone should probably get in touch with his loved ones. This man needs a wellness check.
