WATCH: Alabama Baseball mounts incredible 10-0 comeback to beat Ohio State in the Jax Baseball Classic

Baseball is officially back and if you’re a sicko like me and only caught the first few innings of Alabama vs. Ohio State in the Jax Baseball Classic, you probably assumed the game was over before it even got started.

The Crimson Tide were getting pummeled early, trailing 10-0 through four innings at 121 Financial Ballpark in Jacksonville, Fla.. It looked like a complete disaster, the kind of game where you pack it in, chalk it up as a loss, and move on to the next one.

Instead, the Crimson Tide did the exact opposite.

The rally started in the bottom of the fourth when shortstop Justin Lebron launched a three-run homer to finally put Alabama on the board.

On the mound, Alabama’s pitching was a mess early.

  • Bobby Alcock (starter): 3 IP, 3 ER, 2 H
  • Austin Morris & Beau Bryans: A combined six earned runs in the fourth inning alone, barely recording an out between them.
  • Aidan Moza took over with two outs in the fourth and immediately gave up a three-run shot, but ultimately stabilized things with six strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings.

Then came Tate Robertson, who shut down Ohio State for three innings, allowing Alabama just enough time to claw back into the game. Lebron blasted his second three-run homer of the game in the seventh, cutting the Buckeyes’ lead to 10-7.

In the eighth, left fielder Kade Snell ripped a two-run double, bringing Bama within one run heading into the ninth. Then came the knockout punch. With two on and one out in the bottom of the ninth, first baseman Will Hodo stepped up and sent everyone home, launching a three-run, walk-off bomb to left-center field.

Alabama Baseball Completes WILD Comeback:

Final score: Alabama 12, Ohio State 10.

Alabama Baseball with an 8-0 Start and a Statement Win

With the victory, Bama remains undefeated at 8-0 and takes home the Jax College Baseball Classic title. More importantly, they proved to themselves that they are never out of a game—no matter how deep the hole is. As we all know, comebacks like this don’t just win games. They build confidence, momentum, and belief in a team’s ability to fight through adversity.

Down 10-0? Doesn’t matter. Season just started? Doesn’t matter. Roll Tide.
