Plot Twist: Eagles actually will go to White House for Super Bowl celebration if invited
Sunday night, it was reported that the Philadelphia Eagles were not going to attend the annual White House Super Bowl celebration — mostly because of Donald Trump. Today, we learned that was just bad reporting.
Per Adam Schefter, the Eagles are going to visit the White House this offseason and are excited to do so.

The big stipulation here is Trump actually sending the invite. It would be wild if he just decided not to invite the team, but it’s not completely unprecedented.
When the team won in 2018, Trump infamously uninvited them after he was made aware that a lot of players were not planning to attend. His reasoning was that members of the team kneeled during the National Anthem that season, which wasn’t true — it was really just because the entire team wasn’t coming.
At the end of the day, no one should really care that much whether the Eagles go to the White House or not. When I say I don’t want politics in my sports, I mean it — that shit does not matter to me at all. If they end up going, great. If they don’t, also great. Doesn’t matter.
The Eagles won the Super Bowl and that’s all I really care about.
