Kensington Skrilla Neon

A Philly rapper named Skrilla and a streamer named Neon ‘shut down’ Kensington last night in what was clearly the most overblown ‘meet up’ news story of the week

Last night there was a bunch of activity due to a meet up in Kensington that featured local rapper Skrilla and a streamer that goes by the name of Neon.

Skrilla and Neon linked up and ultimately shut down that section of the city, with hundreds of people gathered around to get a glimpse of the duo, who are apparently “internet famous” for rapping and streaming?

Not really sure, but they definitely caused a scene on the streets of Kensington last night.

Let’s take a look.

Skrilla and Neon ‘shut down’ Kensington, had the ‘whole city’ outside during stream…

NBC 10 Philadelphia was all over the INSANE shutdown from Skrilla and Neon…

Now wait a damn minute. That doesn’t look like a “shut down” to me. What do you think? I’ve seen more junkies line up in a zombie circle in Kensington than the amount of people in that crowd. I am not impressed at all, unfortunately.

We might have a case of “internet stardom” not translating to the streets. I’m disappointed in Mr. Buck who tried to paint the scene in a different light. I guess these days, kids are glued to their phones and computers and don’t realize what “shutting down” a city actually means?

Not exactly sure but anyways, let’s continue. I’m sure the Citizens app will paint a better picture than our guy Mr. Buck above. It’s their civic duty to report actual events happening throughout the city of Philadelphia.

Citizen App reports a ‘massive crowd’ with over ‘100 people’

Well shit…am I missing something here? A massive crowd?

Gotta be honest, I’m actually confused as to what’s going on at this point. This isn’t the “whole city” outside to see some dork named Skrilla and a “streamer” named Neon. It’s like…100 people that barely shutdown traffic. Sorry fellas, this entire thing really isn’t living up to expectations.

To my surprise, everyone continues to say the same thing and I continue to to question why that is the case. Again, I have yet to see a “shut down” of any sort, but rather a bunch of losers with their phones out in a small gathering…

This 100% should not be on the news what are we doing?

Is that a Stake ad or a real news clip? 200 people and then they cut to a video that has like, maybe a total of 50 people in it? Make it make sense!

I’m sure there was a reason for two locals of Kensington to be out and about while organizing a gathering of people, right? Were they there to help out the struggling folks of Zombieland and provide some support? Maybe some food and shelter?

I’m sure once we realize what Skrilla and Neon were doing in Kensington, it will all start to make sense.

Yikes

Gotta be honest. I don’t know who the hell either of these two dudes are but at the very least, last night wasn’t really the humanitarian effort I would have liked to see from Kensington’s finest. If you’re going to have a “meet up” in that part of the city then maybe offer to help some people out?

Not sure racing Crack Heads and making a joke out of being offered pills, while it might be a sign of endearment in Kensington, is really the right message to be delivering.

Trust me, I sound like I’m an old man screaming at the clouds but I’m still in my 30’s and been through hell and back with drugs so it breaks my heart to see people suffering 24 hours a day on the streets of Kensington. That’s why I don’t like it. Guilty as charged.

Of course, these guys needed security guards with AK 47s

Nothing screams “FRAUDS” quite like hired guns following you around for a livestream. If that isn’t the fakest nonsense I’ve ever seen…christ almighty. Can’t believe that a guy who “reps Kensington” feels threatened in his own hood. Doesn’t add up, folks!

Skrilla kissed and made up with Philly PD and the thing was over and done with

This entire thing has to be the least dramatic event that’s ever happened in Kensington. I’m also happy to see that the Philadelphia Police Department was quick on their toes to shut down the “massive crowd” that gathered while they simultaneously allow even bigger crowds of struggling drug addicts crowd the sidewalks and streets on a daily and nightly basis.

I guess we can all hope that Philly P.D. will actually realize what a shit show that party of the city is and start to focus on solutions instead of breaking up a crowd of roughly 100 people that gathered to see some bum ass rapper and meaningless streamer.
