Side Note: $40 Million a Year?! That’s a hard pass here in Philadelphia. We should all be happy we avoided that disastrous contract.
What This Means for Cleveland
- The Browns just locked in one of the most dominant defensive players in the game for the long haul.
- Garrett’s new contract surpasses previous deals for Nick Bosa, Aaron Donald, and TJ Watt, making him the new gold standard for defensive contracts.
- This move cements Garrett as the face of Cleveland’s defense for years to come—and ensures they’re not letting go of a generational pass-rushing talent.
Garrett has been an absolute menace since entering the league in 2017, racking up 88.5 career sacks, multiple Pro Bowls, and a Defensive Player of the Year-caliber impact every season.
Simply put: When Myles Garrett is on the field, opposing QBs are in trouble. Just ask poor old Mason Rudolph (kidding…kind of).
