Kevin Durant remains undefeated on social media, responds to Skip Bayless saying he’s ‘semi-retired’
Kevin Durant might have been built to score the basketball, but he was born to cook people online.
Seriously, has anyone in sports history been more dominant on Twitter than KD?
The man sees everything, and more importantly, he’s going to respond. There’s no fake humility, no “I don’t pay attention to that stuff” nonsense—KD is engaged, active, and ready to fire back at a moment’s notice.
Skip Bayless found that out again this weekend when he decided to push the narrative that Durant is “semi-retired” because… he’s producing a documentary?
"The more I watch him at age 36, the more he [KD] looks mentally semi-retired to me." pic.twitter.com/YmlIM6hNhe

That was enough for Kevin Durant to log on and immediately send Skip into the shadow realm:
Fuck it, We’re both washed, it was a a great run @RealSkipBayless https://t.co/CVjqPSWWHH

“Mentally semi-retired. One u skip Stan’s, explain what that means like I’m in 3rd grade please.”
Undefeated.
There are plenty of things wrong with the Suns, but Kevin Durant is not one of them. He’s putting up 27-6-4 on elite shooting splits while playing 37 minutes a night. He’s out there carrying Phoenix every time Devin Booker or Bradley Beal miss time (which is constantly). The team’s biggest problem is their roster construction, not KD’s mentality.
And this is just another reason to add to the what makes Kevin Durant elite list—he doesn’t let nonsense slide. LeBron will ignore it and Steph will brush it off while KD is diving headfirst into the replies to make sure you feel every bit of whatever dumb shit you’re saying.
I would do horrible things to have Kevin Durant in Philly
Look, the Suns are going nowhere. They’ve maxed out, the fit isn’t great, and if they get bounced early in the playoffs, Durant is going to be the first guy on the trade block.
And I’m just saying—why not the Sixers?
Trust me, I know it’s hard to think anything positive about the Sixers organization right now but what if Kevin Durant found a way to come to Philly this Summer and pair up with a healthy Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey next season?
Daryl Morey has made plenty of mistakes, but if there’s one trade to go all-in on, assuming he still has a job this summer, this is it.
As for Skip Bayless… I Might Be Warming Up to Him?
Listen, I was never a Skip Bayless fan. The fake outrage, the constant LeBron slander, the weird obsession with hating on certain players—it’s all exhausting. But I’ll be honest… him putting on that Jalen Hurts jersey after the Eagles won the Super Bowl?
Kind of love it.
I don’t know what it is, but seeing Skip in an Eagles jersey talking about Jalen Hurts as the future of the NFL has me feeling some type of way. Maybe he’s turned a corner? Maybe I’ve just been beaten into submission by sports media insanity?
Either way, it’s always nice to see someone in national media actually respect the Birds.
Now, if he wants to really earn some goodwill, he needs to start pushing the Durant-to-Philly agenda. Because if KD is getting traded, I don’t want to hear about Miami, Golden State, or any of that nonsense—get him here in South Philly, suit him up with Embiid and Maxey and lets enjoy basketball again in the city of Brotherly Love.
