
Eagles veteran nickel corner signs with Detroit on 1-year deal
According to multiple reports, Eagles nickel corner Avonte Maddox is changing teams, signing with the Detroit Lions on a one-year deal.

Honestly, this was bound to happen. Maddox was replaced about halfway through the season by Cooper DeJean and the Birds defense took a huge step forward. He would’ve been a nice depth piece to retain, but at the end of the day, this move doesn’t hurt the Birds much at all.
He now joins Detroit as the seek to bounce back after a terrible playoff exit last season.
At least Maddox left us with a lasting memory — causing this fourth down stop and setting up the DeVonta Dagger one play later.
