Bryce Harper on Dodgers: ‘I feel like only losers complain about what they’re doing.’

Bryce Harper has never been one to hold back his thoughts, and with the Dodgers rolling into South Philly tonight, he delivered another absolute heater in regards to people who like to complain about the Dodgers “stupid money” spending.

Asked about the endless whining over Los Angeles’ deep pockets, creative deferrals, and success landing international stars, Harper didn’t mince words:

Bryce Harper on Dodgers: ‘I feel like only losers complain about what they’re doing.’

“I don’t know if people will like this, but I feel like only losers complain about what they’re doing.”

While most of the league loves to cry poor and roll their eyes every time the Dodgers sign another $300 million player, Harper’s just out here preaching accountability and respect. Because at the end of the day, no matter how many Shohei Ohtanis or Yoshinobu Yamamotos they add, Harp and The Fightins are right next to L.A. as one of the best teams in baseball.

Here in Philadelphia, we’re focused on winning our own World Series.

Harper didn’t just stop at complimenting the Dodgers, either. He showed love to the whole city of L.A. — the food, the nightlife, the star power. He gets why people want to play there. But he also made it clear: he doesn’t care and why would he? Harp signed a lifetime contract and will play the rest of his professional baseball career right here in Philadelphia.

Honestly, even asking him questions about the fucking Dodgers is beyond pointless.

“They’re going to continue to get guys… They’re doing what the Dodgers do.”

Cool. Let ‘em. I can’t stress this enough, Bryce Harper, the Phillies, and this fanbase literally does not care about what’s going on in Los Angeles. The media can stop trying to get a cheap sound bite from Harper now. We have an important, early-season series against L.A. starting in a few minutes down at The Bank.

All we want, along with Bryce Harper is to bring another parade down Broad Street.

Harper didn’t sign with the Phillies to duck the big dogs. He came here to beat them. And with the way he’s swinging it, the way this lineup is clicking, and the way the vibes have felt since the second he walked through the door in 2019, you better believe that mission hasn’t changed.

Let the Dodgers keep racking up All-Stars. Let them win the winter. Because come October, there will be no reason to be shocked when the NL Pennant comes through Bryce and The Fightins.

Go ahead and respect to the Dodgers’ front office, their scouting department, and their willingness to spend. But also? Fuck the Dodgers and fuck their entire payroll and roster. This is Philly and Bryce Harper knows exactly where his heart is.
