Amon-Ra St. Brown keeps saying he wants to face Eagles Week 1 and I say we give him what he wants
Not the biggest fan of Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. He’s a solid ball player, no doubt, but as a man? I can’t respect someone who has a tattoo of Pete Davidson’s face on his body. Even it was a gag tat, still very strange and I don’t like it.
I also think it’s weird as hell that St. Brown wears t-shirts with his own face on them during pre-game warmups. And above all, I can’t respect a dude who just can’t keep my team’s name out of his mouth.
Almost immediately after the season ended and the Eagles were celebrating their Super Bowl win, Amon-Ra started running his mouth about us. Literally days after Super Bowl LIX, he said he wanted the Birds in Week 1 so the Lions could try to ruin the banner drop — claiming they’d be fully healthy and ready to roll. I don’t care how many injuries your squad had — Washington steamrolled you in your own house. And that same team got 55 dropped on them the next week by the Eagles.
Stop saying dumb shit, Amon. You’re embarrassing yourself.
Fast forward to today, and Amon-Ra St. Brown is still talking about the Eagles. During an appearance on Kevin Hart’s Ice Bath, St. Brown started the conversation saying he wanted to play Kevin’s team, the Eagles, in Week 1.
Amon-Ra St. Brown really wants to play the Eagles

The NFL probably doesn’t give a shit what Amon-Ra St. Brown has to say or who he wants to play in Week 1, but honestly, I say we give him his wish and make it happen.
Out of all the teams the Eagles could face to open the season, Detroit is easily one of the most intriguing. Sure, the schedule makers could throw Washington in there for an NFC Championship rematch, but burning a divisional game that early isn’t really how the NFL rolls.
Give us Detroit, and let us show Amon-Ra St. Brown — and the rest of that Lions squad — what a real championship team actually looks like.
