Hey Phillies fans, Justin Crawford will be heading to The Show sooner than you think
Justin Crawford will be heading to The Show sooner than you think.
There’s nothing worse than pretentious media members telling everyone to “pump the brakes” on a prospect because they have only appeared in 10 games at the AAA level.
If you jump on Twitter, that’s all you’ll see. “AnYoNe PaYiNg AtTenTiOn” Durhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Relax everyone and honestly…shut up? The media’s two eyes aren’t seeing anything different than the rest of us so I’m not buying it at all. The Phillies forced us into the urgent mess where bringing Justin Crawford up sooner than later is now the reality.
Why? Because Max Kepler was the only offseason addition to the outfield. Brandon Marsh is still not an everyday player and when you put him in a lineup with Kepler and Bryson Stott, that’s 3-of-9 players that become a liability to this already-inconsistent offense.
And please, don’t even get me started on Johan Rojas. I said it once and I’ll say it again…Rojas can’t hit to save his life and if he’s going to play the outfield like he did last night in Atlanta, then there’s literally no reason he should be on the roster.
Question: If Rojas isn’t going to play center field with a Gold Glove, why is he playing at all?
Point being, the outfield depth was a problem to start off 2025 and it’s becoming even more of a problem now just weeks into the regular season so no, it’s not “crazy” to think that Justin Crawford could be fast tracked to The Show as early as June 1st.
The Justin Crawford Era is Coming…

Assuming you are still reading and haven’t immediately gone to social media to tell me that Justin Crawford hasn’t really hit lefties that great either, I know that. I know more about baseball than anyone on social media. Relax.
Here are Justin Crawfords numbers this season in Lehigh Valley and his overalls in the minor leagues with the Phillies.
2025 MLB Season (Triple A Lehigh Valley)
- 40 AB | 13 H | 6 RBI | 4 SB
- .325 AVG with a .782 OPS
Career Minor League Numbers:
- 904 AB | 286 H | 12 HR | 136 RBI
- .316 AVG with a .812 OPS
Justin Crawford vs Left (2025 Season)
- 7 G | 16 AB | 4 H | 2 3B | 3 RBI
- .250 AVG with a .750 OPS
Justin Crawford vs Right (2025 Season)
- 9 G | 24 AB | 9 H | 3 RBI | 2 BB
Again, Justin Crawford is young and will 100% benefit from more time in Lehigh Valley. The Phillies obviously know that and won’t be foolish enough to make any type of call to The Show until months down the road but at the same time, it’s not right to discuss the possibility of it happening sooner than later given the glaring issues in the outfield.
Stay the course. Be patient. Justin Crawford ERA is coming sooner than you might think.
Justin Crawford is ready to go tomorrow, FYI
Prior to the season, Crawford was asked about getting to the big league club.

“My goal is to get there tomorrow.”
A 3-hit games last night pushes his early season slash line to .325/.357/.425 in first 9 gms. Off to a great start. #Phillies pic.twitter.com/6p0f8SaqtS
