WATCH: Isiah Thomas goes full ‘Old Man Yells at Cloud’ mode over LeBron James warming up shirtless

Look, I’ll be the first to admit — I’m not a LeBron James fan. I find him corny, dramatic, and half the time I feel like he’s trying to win an Oscar instead of an NBA title. But even I can’t get behind Isiah Thomas’ bizarre meltdown over LeBron warming up shirtless.

This all went down on NBATV before the Lakers’ game against the Rockets. LeBron was out on the floor early — like he always is — getting some shots up without a shirt on. Pretty standard stuff if you’ve ever watched pregame warmups.

Isiah Thomas wasn’t having any of it and acted like LeBron James showed up to the arena in a bathrobe and flip-flops.

“I totally 100% object to this,” Thomas said with all the seriousness of someone announcing a federal crime. “We ain’t Summer League, we ain’t at the YMCA.” He even asked Adam Silver to fine LeBron for it.

A fine for Lebron James seems like a massive stretch to begin with. Add in the fact that it was simply because he was shirtless during warmups and Isiah Thomas looks like a complete idiot. Come on, man…lol

I can’t stand when people rush to defend LeBron over every little thing — but this just isn’t a big deal. He’s out there two hours before tip-off, getting ready for a game.

If he wants to do it without a shirt on, who cares? No fans are in the building yet, and he’s not out there dancing or promoting a protein shake — he’s working.

It’s not like LeBron’s the first guy to do this either. Plenty of dudes shoot around shirtless before the game starts. Most of the time, it goes unnoticed because there’s no camera on them. This time, NBATV happened to catch it — and Isiah Thomas chose violence over common sense.

LeBron James is still the king of corny social media posts, dramatic entrances, and “I told y’all!” moments no one actually remembers. But shirtless warmups? That ain’t it. That’s not where the outrage should be going.

If anything, it’s kind of impressive the man’s 40 and still confident enough to go full flex mode in front of national cameras. Let him cook.

I’m not Team LeBron James…but I’m also not Team Isiah “Get Off My Lawn” Thomas.

This isn’t the hill to die on. I will say that Adam Silver fining anyone outside of Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers would be a welcomed action from the NBA Front Offices.

My guess, nothing will happen here and the league is too busy trying to do everything possible to ensure that the Sixers don’t find much of anything in the NBA Draft Lottery.

Regardless, this doesn’t seem like an issue for anyone outside of Isiah Thomas. Just get ready for next week on NBATV when Thomas demands players tuck in their shirts and shine their shoes before layup lines.
