Victor Wembanyama shaves head, goes on a 10-day Shaolin retreat in China
Victor Wembanyama is out here having the wildest NBA offseason of anybody.
Photos surfaced Sunday of Wemby with a fully shaved head, rocking a gray monk robe, straight-up posted up at a Shaolin temple in Zhengzhou, China.
This wasn’t some fake AI thing. A couple Spurs reporters confirmed it’s legit.
Victor Wembanyama is in the middle of a 10-day Shaolin retreat, according to FOX San Antonio’s Dusty Garza, and apparently he’s been “deeply interested” in Shaolin culture. Based on the pics, he’s going all in.

The trip to China started out pretty normal — Wemby was doing the tourist thing, checking out the Great Wall, trying the local food, snapping pics. But the Shaolin temple shots took it to another level.
The man’s listed at 7’3″ (and probably taller), so it’s not exactly easy to mistake him for anyone else — especially when he’s towering over monks in full gear with a completely shaved dome.

Honestly, seeing Wemby in Shaolin mode somehow feels less ridiculous than half the stuff he does on the court. The guy already looks like a glitch when he’s playing — pulling off moves that seem physically impossible at his size. So yeah, Wembanyama channeling his inner monk in the offseason tracks.

Victor Wembanyama entering Year 3 with the Spurs, and if this is how he’s getting his mind and body right? Good luck to the rest of the league.
