WATCH: Angels rookie Christian Moore had no idea that he hit a walk-off home run against the Red Sox

Angels rookie Christian Moore delivered the best walk-off of the season last night in Anaheim and he had absolutely zero clue that it even happened.

In the bottom of the 10th inning with the Angels trailing 2-1 with a ghost runner on second, the rookie out of Tennessee smashed a 1-1 slider to deep right-center. Crowd went nuts, Moore turned on the jets and slid in to third and stuck his tongue out like a dawg, thinking he just tied the game.

The only thing was that Christian Moore didn’t just the tie the game. He won the game.

It wasn’t until the umpires told him to get up and finish his lap around the bases that Moore realized the ball cleared the wall. A walk-off homer. His first career walk-off. And the third home run of his young career – all three coming in the seventh inning or later to either tie or take the lead.

Christian Moore said he was going to turn things around in Anaheim

Moore already went viral for promising Angels fans a World Series ring during his draft-night interview. It felt a little delusional at the time, but maybe the kid wasn’t bluffing.

He said it was in his blood. Now he’s showing it with his bat.

And hey, if you’re going to have a signature moment early in your career, accidentally sliding into third on a walk-off bomb is about as on-brand as it gets for Anaheim.
