Ben Simmons 76ers

Unrestricted free agent Ben Simmons is hitting jumpers all over the gym and yet again, I’m asking the 76ers to Complete The Process

Ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to announce that Summer has officially begun, with unrestricted free agent and 76ers legend Ben Simmons is back in the gym, knocking down jumpers in a brand new workout video that’s making it’s round across the internet.

Ben Simmons in the gym is the ultimate bat signal of the NBA offseason. He’s basically the human-version of Punxsutawney Phil. Watching him hard at work in the gym still brings tears to my eyes. My brain simply cannot handle it.

I just want to step outside in the hot, humid air and scream from the top of my lungs that this is FINALLY THE YEAR that the Ben Simmons Revenge Tour gets underway.

Ben Simmons hitting jumpers in the gym means that Summer has officially arrived

It wouldn’t be the Fourth of July run-up without Ben swishing jumpers over local insurance adjusters jogging in a silent gym. This is tradition now. Five summers strong. Same spot, same sweat, same promise that maybe this is the year he lets it fly.

I mean seriously, check that video out. Simmons was dominating in that video, giving maximum effort while going 14-for-15 from midrange and casually popping off the same pull-up mechanics that turned him into a legend in Philadelphia.

I cant help but wonder…

Ben Simmons

I already started a a fresh round of “this is the year” talk in the office and I’m seriously considering letting go of my intern who can’t fathom the idea of a reunion.

How could anyone not think that maybe, if Ben Simmons was healthy and hungry, that this could actually be the year and he will turn into the player that he was always destined to be?

Aren’t you wondering what would happen if Ben Simmons actually trusted his jumper and the talent finally clicked?

Ben Simmons is an unrestricted free agent and I literally can’t come up with a single reason as to why he should be making a triumphant return to the city of Philadelphia.

Listen, the 76ers desperately need a power forward and I’m willing to bet good money that Ben Simmons returning to where it all started is exactly what he needs to complete not only The Process, but a storybook ending to what has been the dark days of basketball in the city of Philadelphia.

Side Note: Might as well reach out to Markelle Fultz too. He’s a UFA looking for a home. Get the boys back together and let’s actually enjoy basketball again.

Ben Simmons loves Philly and 76ers fans so again, I’m calling for unity to finally ‘Complete The Process’

Listen, if you read The Liberty Line, you know I love Ben Simmons. I’m man enough to admit it instead of going on social media and firing off the typical talking points you see from “casuals” who don’t know a damn thing about basketball, being in a locker room, playing sports, and whatever else you want to relate to the dark days before his departure.

Before you exit out of the article because you’re still too emotional on how things ended with Ben Simmons in Philadelphia, why don’t you suck it up for three minutes and continue reading?

I’m beyond sick of 76ers fans pretending like the Simmons-Embiid era wasn’t the undisputed BEST basketball we have witnessed in this city in nearly two decades.

Grow the fuck up and at the very least, be open to a reunion in Philadelphia, okay?

Complete The Process: Ben Simmons attempted to ‘mend the fences’ with Joel Embiid over the Summer- A Reunion in Philly Incoming?

Ben Simmons’ last great season in the NBA? That was with Joel Embiid in Philly.

The Sixers’ most dominant teams, their best chances to win a Finals—or at the very least, finally escape the second round—were with the dynamic yet dysfunctional pairing of Embiid and Simmons.

Say whatever you want about it. I can guarantee that if you do not agree with me, it’s probably just your emotions talking and you simply don’t know ball as well as you think you do.

Simmons might be collecting checks, but he’s not doing worse than anything happening in Philly, right? Get this guy back in South Philly and let’s enjoy basketball again. The Sixers are always one piece away…when healthy.

That’s why we need to be banging the drum for a Simmons and a Philadelphia reunion.

  • Simmons running the fast break again.
  • Simmons locking down the best player on the other team.
  • Embiid dominates the paint.
  • Jared McCain painting his nails.
  • VJ Edgecombe becoming Jimmy Butler 2.0
  • Simmons not shooting, as he does best, but this time it doesn’t matter because Tyrese Maxey and Paul George are bombing threes.

It’s not about restoring Ben Simmons’ career. It’s about restoring order to the realm of Sixers basketball.

The more Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons are mentioned in the same sentence, the better. I’m dead serious. Keep the takes coming. Keep the comparisons rolling. Keep stirring the pot, because it’s time we stop pretending like the Embiid-Simmons era didn’t give us some of the most exciting basketball Philly has seen in decades.

Look, I get it—things fell apart. The Simmons drama reached biblical proportions. But if we’re talking pure basketball, those Sixers teams were a force. The potential was off the charts. The defense was elite. The fast breaks were electric. They were one or two moves away from winning it all, and anyone denying that is rewriting history.

Every time Stephen A. Smith or anyone else brings up Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid together, it’s like the universe trying to send us a message: “Run it back.”

It’s not just about nostalgia—it’s about unfinished business. Somewhere deep in the NBA multiverse, there’s a version of this duo hoisting a Larry O trophy, and we’re all losing our minds in at the parade down Broad Street.
