Cooper DeJean caught off guard by Eagles Legend on live radio over question about his DM’s
Cooper DeJean pulled up to Sea Isle City for Jason Kelce’s annual Shore Birds event raising money for the Eagles Autism Foundation, probably thinking he was just clocking in for some lighthearted charity bartending, a few drinks, and a handful of “Go Birds” chants while snapping a few pics with some fans.
It seemed like a casual event down the shore, a place that I visit rather frequently to enjoy a few ice cold brewskis myself. Instead, Cooper DeJean walked into absolute chaos and the videos posted on social media will have you scratching your head as to why Eagles fans and media members chose to behave that way.

Hugh Douglas Doesn’t Play Around — “What’s Your DMs Looking Like?”
While live on the 94WIP Midday Show, Hugh Douglas looked our guy Cooper DeJean dead in the eye and requested to see his DMs.

Just like that. Full blitz. No coverage. You could literally see the hesitation in DeJean’s body language. He cracked a nervous smile and hit us with:
“I’ve seen a lot of things that aren’t true… but I don’t know. I don’t know.”
Brother, you definitely know. Douglas, clearly loving every second of it, followed up like a veteran pulling the rookie aside during film study:
“Listen, when we get off here, we’re gonna talk about this, young man. Stay focused. Live your life and Go Birds!”
DeJean echoed back the classic “Go Birds!” like he was trying to get out of that conversation faster than him running into the end zone on the Mahomes pick-6 in Super Bowl LIX.
From Super Bowl Hero to Offseason Gossip Target
This is what happens when you go from rookie standout to Philly royalty in less than a year. Cooper DeJean turned 22 years old on Super Bowl Sunday, then proceeded to snatch Patrick Mahomes’ soul with that pick-six in the third quarter. The 38-yard sprint to the end zone basically shut down Kansas City and opened the door to a title parade down Broad Street.
Now? He can’t walk into a beach bar without fans chasing him down and honestly, assaulting him. Look at this fan. Can’t happen lol.
Assault.
So let’s all do Coop a favor and chill the hell out. The guy just helped deliver a Super Bowl to Philadelphia as a rookie, turned 22, and is out here enjoying a well-earned offseason with the fans that already worship him. He deserves to have a little fun.
Cooper DeJean isn’t some diva soaking in the spotlight, he’s a flat-out baller, a class act, and everything the Eagles culture stands for. And make no mistake, when training camp rolls around, he’ll be fully locked in, focused, and ready to help the Birds run it back as world champions. Let the kid live and then let him cook.
