Old man Jerry decided to throw Micah Parsons under the bus today for no apparent reason:

#Cowboys owner Jerry Jones randomly takes a shot at Micah Parsons, saying even if they sign him, it doesn’t mean they’ll have him, because he was hurt for 6 games last year (fact check: he only missed 4).

Fast forward about an hour, Micah Parsons saw this and retweeted JJ Watt’s response to it.

This was one of the final steps in the plan. Push the Parsons-Eagles narrative, let it creep into the cultural zeitgeist, then once Parsons and Dallas inevitably come to a standstill in contract negotiations, let old man Jerry do what he does best — say something stupid and push Parsons to the brink of no return.
