Phillies will be rocking burgundy throwback hats in the Bronx for Hall of Fame Weekend
The Phillies are breaking out a special edition hat for their weekend series against the Yankees, and it’s a beauty. It’s the fan-favorite burgundy throwback cap, think 1970 through 1991 vibes, but paired with the standard road gray uniforms.
Phillies caps for Hall of Fame weekend:
We’ve seen the hat before on Throwback Thursdays, but never like this. I do have to question the burgundy lid with road grays, and modern-day red logos and numbering. How’s that going to work?
Let’s just say the color coordination might not be making the Cooperstown cut.

Still, hard to complain too much. The hat rips. It’s clean. It’s classic. And it’s always nice to see the Phillies nod to their history, especially during Hall of Fame weekend.
Phillies at Yankees Tonight in the Bronx
Apple TV+ is on the call tonight, which means you can kiss Tom McCarthy and John Kruk goodbye for the evening. Instead, brace yourself Taijuan Walker tries to navigate a dangerous Yankees lineup in the Bronx.
Feels like a loss. The Phillies hats might be the most exciting part of the night if I’m being totally honest with you. That, and the fact that Apple TV+ broadcasts absolutely slap.
Shoutout to Phans of Philly for bussing a massive load of Phillies fans, six buses to be exact, up for the game tonight. Me and Conway made the trip last year and had an absolute blast. Good stuff as always. Check out their upcoming trips for the Birds and Flyers. They are elite and handle EVERYTHING.
