Bryce Harper has hilarious response to Jhoan Duran’s entrance and Phillies debut
The Phillies ended up pulling out a 5-4 win over the Detroit Tigers after falling down 3, early in the game. But it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the Fightins in their comeback win at home.
Unfortunately for Bryce Harper he fell victim to yet another “Ump Show”, as he got ejected for arguing a check swing strike three. It was a close call and I could see it going either way, but the real issue was the awful strike the ump called a few pitches before that.
The timing of the entire situation was far from ideal. And I’m not sure what exactly Dusty Waltham was doing on the bag over at third base. Nonetheless, Harper ended up catching the rest of the game from the locker room.

I’m sure there were plenty of Phillies fans frustrated with Harper getting tossed in this game, whereas I personally enjoy his fiery side and when he plays with a lot of passion. I think the team and the home crowd feed off of it.
I’m sure Bryce would have loved to of stayed in this game but at least the Phils pulled out with the win and I’m sure that electric Duran finish and eventual save, lightened his mood a little bit.
The beauty of baseball
On the bright side, Bryce will be able to put this ejection past him and hop right back on the saddle this afternoon as the Phillies look to get a huge series win over the first place Tigers.
