Justin Crawford Foul Ball Bunt Attempt

WATCH: Justin Crawford gets burned on a foul ball sacrifice bunt that rolled the whole way back into play

Justin Crawford dropped a sacrifice bunt that actually worked in moving two runners into scoring position. The problem however, was that he barely moved out of the batters box after laying down the bunt.

Justin Crawford laid down a bunt that trickled foul. The baseball then spun back into fair territory. The third baseman hesitated, gave second base a quick look for a potential double play, realized that’s a pipe dream, and takes the easy out at first because Justin Crawford never left the batters box.

Brutal.

Crawford did advance both runners though, so mission accomplished.

Obviously, Justin Crawford is a hot name right now within the Phillies organization. Most fans want him to get the call to The Show and a quick look at his numbers in AAA would indicate that he’s more than ready.

Over 351 at-bats in Lehigh Valley this season, Justin Crawford is hitting .325 with a .832 OPS. He has 114 hits, three home runs, and 31 RBIs to go along with 35 stolen bases.

Honestly, there’s not much else Crawford can do in the minor leagues at this point. The question is now when he will get the call to join the Phillies in South Philly.

Topper has been running a platoon for the past six games, with Otto Kemp, Max Kepler, Brandon Marsh, Harrison Bader, and even Weston Wilson, all getting looks in left and centerfield.

Those six games are up, so what happens now?

I broke all the options down right here. Take a look and lemme know what you think.
