Four dudes in one boat are rowing 3,500 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from NYC to the UK
Somehow, this isn’t the biggest story in the world right now. Four dudes are rowing from New York City to the United Kingdom. That’s roughly 3,500 miles of open seas, across the Atlantic Ocean, and they are already 51 days in.
The crew is made up of Adam Radcliffe, David Bruce, Jack Jarvis, and Sam Edwards. They are grinding toward the finish line and the best part about it, is that it’s all to raise money for Head Up, a UK-based charity promoting mental health awareness for military personnel.
They’ve taken on wild endurance challenges before, but never anything this massive.

The daily routine is brutal.
Three hours of rowing, three hours of rest, on repeat, all while battling the elements. So far, they’ve celebrated small wins like clean clothes, watched whales, dolphins, and tuna cruise alongside them, and survived a capsizing incident.
They’ve got a GPS in the cabin, but out here, there’s no safety net. If something goes wrong, it’s on them to fix it.
It’s a story with everything, yet it’s being buried under preseason box scores and celebrity gossip. Can’t happen. Here’s hoping these four finish strong, because when they do, it’ll be one of the most impressive endurance feats you’ll hear about all year.
