Little League World Series: Lin Chin-Tse is throwing 82 MPH for Chinese Taipei and ruining childhoods in Williamsport

Lin Chin-Tse: Every year at the Little League World Series, there’s always that one kid who makes you lean over to whoever is sitting next to you and whisper “there’s no chance that this kid is only 12”

This year’s nightmare fuel for opposing hitters is Chinese Taipei’s Lin Chin-Tse. The alleged 12-year old is literally a a human cheat code who spent Thursday turning the mound in Williamsport into his own personal demolition site.

82 MPH gas from 46 feet away. Nine strikeouts. Launching nukes at the plate and cranking moonshots when he’s batting. It’s like if Nolan Ryan and Shohei Ohtani had a kid and sent him straight to middle school with a fake birth certificate.

Chinese Taipei’s Lin Chin-Tse casually throwing 82 MPH

Quick Math: 82 MPH from 46 feet translates to roughly 107–108 MPH MLB equivalent. That’s Chapman-level filth. Aroldis set the big-league record at 105.8 in 2010, and here’s a “12-year-old” casually topping that on the Little League radar.

The Dodgers probably have a contract written up already. Somewhere in the bowels of Yankee Stadium, Brian Cashman just put in a call to his international scouting director.

This is what we come to see in Williamsport. Not the kid from suburban New Jersey who gets lit up like a Christmas tree throwing 65 MPH meatballs. Give me Lin Chin-Tse firing piss missiles at wide-eyed 12-year-olds who know deep down they’ve got zero chance of making contact.

I wouldn’t bet on the Little League World series.

That is, until they told is to definitely not bet on it. Little League had to release a statement yesterday begging people to stop betting on 5th graders like they’re a Tuesday night MAC football game.

Good luck with that. If Lin Chin-Tse’s strikeout over/under is anything less than 10 next start, hammer it like it’s free money. While I always love a good villain in Williamsport, there’s no shot I’m rooting for Chinese Taipei. Let’s all just hope that the MidAtlantic team can save us from Lin Chin-Tse ruining America’s past time.
