Report: Sixers promote Ariana Andonian to General Manager of the Blue Coats
The Sixers don’t have much cooking right now in the offseason outside of figuring out the Quentin Grimes situation. The restricted free agent still hasn’t signed, and both sides are stuck waiting each other out.

Ariana Andonian joined the Sixers in 2024 as VP of Player Personnel after previous stints with the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets.

It’s a solid step for the Blue Coats, who’ve become a reliable developmental pipeline for the Sixers over the past few years. With Andonian now running the show in Delaware, the organization gets some front office stability while the NBA roster tries to sort itself out.
For Philly, the bigger picture still points to October 22nd in Boston, when the Sixers open the 2025–26 season against the Celtics. But for now, the front office just locked in another key piece behind the scenes.
