Trea Turner, Bryce Harper go nuclear, Phillies power past Mariners 12-7 at Citizens Bank Park
Trea Turner Masterclass – The Phillies unloaded on Seattle Monday night, smacking 21 hits in a 12-7 win at Citizens Bank Park.
Trea Turner Hits Milestone, Bryce Harper Harper Goes Off
Trea Turner has been unstoppable. He went 4-for-5 with five RBI, including a three-run homer in the second inning that pushed him past 1,500 career hits.
That’s five straight multi-hit games, and right now he’s carrying the top of the order.

Then there was Bryce Harper, who put on his own fireworks display. Harper homered in back-to-back innings, including a two-run shot to the second deck that reminded everyone why Philly loves him so much. That gave him 20 homers for the 11th time in his career, and it marked his 30th multi-homer game.
Everybody Eats
It wasn’t just Turner and Harper. J.T. Realmuto had three hits and went deep. Kyle Schwarber, Max Kepler, and Bryson Stott all chipped in RBI. By the time the dust settled, the Phillies had dropped 21 hits on Seattle’s pitching staff.
Ranger Suárez quietly did his thing, too. He struck out 10 (tying a career high) over 6 2/3 innings, giving up just two runs on four hits. He improved to 9-6 on the season.
Mariners Get a Reality Check
Seattle made it interesting for about 10 minutes in the seventh when Mitch Garver and Cole Young sparked a four-run rally to cut it to 8-5.
Harper’s second homer of the night slammed the door right back in their faces. Young ended up driving in four runs, and Garver added a homer and an RBI single, but the rest of Seattle’s lineup never really showed up.
Logan Gilbert didn’t even survive the second inning, coughing up six runs, nine hits, and now has an ERA that’ll need some aloe after that burn. Cal Raleigh is stuck on the verge of history. One homer away from tying the single-season record for catchers, he went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts. Brutal night.
What’s Next
The Phillies (holding a five and a half-game lead over the Mets in the NL East) hand the ball to Cristopher Sánchez (11-4, 2.45 ERA) on Tuesday. Seattle counters with Bryce Miller (2-5, 5.73 ERA), who probably doesn’t love the idea of facing a lineup that just racked up 21 hits.
