Some people get statues. Some people get streets named after them. But if there’s any justice in the world, this Little League ump deserves a Medal of Honor, and maybe even a lifetime supply of frozen peas for what he just went through.

Because folks, this man didn’t just take one foul ball to the family jewels. He didn’t just take two. He took three clean shots to the nuts in the span of three innings. That’s not an umpire. That’s a soldier.

Top of the 2nd. Boom. First shot. Most men tap out right there, drop the mask, and limp to the parking lot while questioning every life decision that led them to this moment. Not this guy.

Bottom of the 2nd. Boom again. The crowd gasps. Moms are covering their kids’ eyes. Dads in the bleachers are wincing like they just got hit themselves. EMTs probably started stretching on the sideline. But our hero? He shook it off and stayed locked in.

By the 4th inning, he’s already proven himself a better man than any of us. And then—God help us all—he takes a third shot. Direct hit. That wasn’t just a foul tip. That was a career-ending missile straight to the ballbag.

Give this man a raise

The best part? The coaches barely even react. They’re too busy telling little Ryan he did a good job “staying alive up there” while this poor ump’s manhood is being turned into ground beef.

Zero empathy. No time-out. No ice pack. Just a couple dads in cargo shorts treating it like business as usual while this guy’s future lineage evaporates into the infield dirt. Unless of course, he has children of his own at this point.

Nonetheless, we can all agree as men, that’s the absolute worst area to get hit. Prayers up for this ump, and I can only hope this viral clip has gained him some sort of praise and recognition he deserves. A true American hero.
