This 94.1 WIP video of someone named Kyle Quinn wanting to boo the Phillies is the epitome of Philly Sports Talk Radio

Sweet Jesus. I think we’re all in agreement that the Phillies getting embarrassed in Queens and allowing the Mets to climb back into the playoff picture earlier this week was bad but this video from some kid named Kyle Quinn at 94.1 WIP saying that he wanted to go to the Phillies game last night to boo the team so they would “feel what we just went through” is probably the most embarrassing things I’ve ever seen.

We should be clear on a few things first. In no way, shape, or form do I ever want someone like Kyle Quinn representing sports fandom in this city.

This guy is a WIP, Spike Eskin wannabe, hot take try hard trying to make a name for himself on radio by saying dumb shit and we’re all completely sick of it.

Wait until you see Joe Giglio nodding along like anything this kid is saying should hold weight in a serious discussion about the Phillies. It’s fucking bizarre and pathetic. I can’t stand people like this.

Oh, and I definitely don’t want him saying “we” when speaking on the Phillies and on top of that, saying the dumbest shit imaginable. Same goes for pretty much everyone at WIP and whatever little groups they have these days on “Phillies Twitter”.

I mean come on, these people are clowns. I doubt that they even believe the words they are posting or even worse, saying over the airwaves.

In all seriousness, this is the epitome of Philly Sports Talk Radio.

Fucking awful, right? At the very least, if this was supposed to be funny (it wasn’t) than it’s probably the best content that 94.1 WIP has ever released. 

The Phillies, in the midst of a 162 game regular season, just got swept on the road and allowed the New York Mets to get back into playoff contention.  Trust me, I completely understand that it was a week of uninspiring baseball from The Fightins. The Citi Field Curse is real and this team simply can’t win in Queens.

It’s embarrassing. No doubt about it.

However, when it’s your job to cover Philadelphia sports and you’re in the position to be on the radio and speak about the Phillies, posting this dumb overreaction video to the Phillies getting swept, which happens all across Major League Baseball multiple times over the course of a regular season was beyond stupid. 

Did 94.1 WIP Kyle Quinn boo the Phillies last night?

Does anyone know if he went to the game? If he did, there’s no way this kid actually booed while The Fightins hung 19 runs on the Braves and Kyle Schwarber made franchise history with four bombs and 9 RBI.

Maybe he got a few in while Aaron Nola stunk up the first inning but after that, I sure as hell hope that Kyle Quinn was booed out of The Bank and handed a lifetime ban in the process.

Anyways, let’s all just hope Kyle Quinn stays home from this point forward. That would include going into work and acting like a big ol’ dummy on the radio. No one wants to hear that shit.
