Jimmy Kimmel Cancelled

Jimmy Kimmel is reportedly ‘livid’ after he was suspended by ABC over Charlie Kirk monologue

Jimmy Kimmel is “absolutely fucking livid” that ABC pulled his show, but let’s not kid ourselves here because Jimmy Kimmel knows exactly what he did.

In fact, Jimmy Kimmel does it pretty much every night. Unfortunately for him, this time around, people were actually paying attention.

This is what got Jimmy Kimmel cancelled

Honestly, I don’t really think it was that bad in the grand scheme of things that I’ve stumbled upon while scrolling on social media. That being said, Jimmy Kimmel is an ABC employee and on national television every night so it’s not hard to realize that he needs to operate on a different “code of conduct” compared to the rest of us.

That code of conduct I mentioned, has never been followed by Jimmy Kimmel. Remember when he told everyone who didn’t get a COVID vaccine that they deserved to die? That was fucking wild, right?

No COVID Vax? Jimmy Kimmel wanted to you to DIE

That one hits home. When I supported JT Realmuto for not getting vaxxed and not being able to play for the Phillies while they headed over the border to play the Blue Jays, I was getting death threats all over social media.

On top of that, I was followed from DELCO by a deranged lunatic, the entire way to my place of work in the Great Northeast. This psycho was trying to run me off the road on I-95, riding up my ass and swerving between vehicles. He did not stop until I called the cops.

That being said, it’s no surprise that people like Jimmy Kimmel rub me the wrong way because of the shit he says on national television. The general population is stupid as shit and actually takes his “jokes” to truth, which is why saying MAGA was responsible for Charlie Kirk falls into that category.

Not to mention, Kimmel is an asshole in general.

How about Jimmy Kimmel celebrating others getting fired?

I wouldn’t fire Jimmy Kimmel over it and honestly, I don’t think ABC did either.

Anyways, none of that matters at this point. ABC pulled the plug. Was it because of the monologue above? Probably not. Outside of telling a national broadcast that the assassin who murdered Charlie Kirk was MAGA so he could continue to demean the political right, no harm, no foul.

I’m being sarcastic but at the end of the day, I wouldn’t have fired Jimmy Kimmel over his comments and honestly, I doubt ABC did that either. Instead, they used it as an opportunity to can the late night host, which is one hell of a PR strategy.

To be clear, his comments weren’t an edgy joke that got taken out of context. In reality it wasn’t even a joke and if it was supposed to be, it wasn’t funny, which is kind of the entire problem with late night TV right now.

There’s a massive difference between joking about something that actually happened and just making up lies to fit a political narrative in the wake of a tragedy. That shouldn’t be a hard concept to grasp, but apparently it is for Jimmy Kimmel.

Can everyone just shut the hell up and realize that America literally just had a political assassination last week.

The internet is already a cesspool of conspiracy theories with the right blaming the left, the left blaming the right. Everyone’s already spiraling, and then Kimmel decides to toss gasoline on the fire with a monologue suggesting the shooter was a MAGA Republican.

That’s not a punchline, that’s pushing an agenda, brother.

Not to mention, if you are going to joke about it, at least make it sharp and somewhat accurate. Don’t spit out lazy one-liners that everyone with half a brain knows aren’t true.

That seems like an agenda instead of a joke, and it kills any free speech argument that the left is now punishing the timeline with, while if you asked them, they probably never even watched Jimmy Kimmel’s show because really, no one did.

Jimmy Kimmel’s been doing this for years, cloaking political commentary as comedy. At some point, your bosses are going to notice when the balance tips from “late-night jokes” to “primetime propaganda.”

Free speech for sure, but when you’re lying out of your ass about a topic that’s so tragic, in a country where the political divide and hate towards one another is at an all time high, then it’s pretty obvious that if you’re not pulling viewership numbers, then you are turning yourself into a liability rather than someone who deserves to get paid to host a late night program on national television.

Honestly, that’s probably why Jimmy Kimmel was fired.

Not because of what was said in that clip specifically, but rather that everything he continues to say doesn’t show up in the ratings. Kimmel’s been a ratings disaster for a long time, just like the rest of his peers.

Sure, he constantly insults the right side of the political People don’t watch this stuff anymore. They’re doomscrolling on TikTok or watching YouTube clips. The audience for monologues at 11:35 p.m. doesn’t exist like it did in the Leno or Letterman era.

Late-night is a dying product, and Kimmel just gave ABC the perfect excuse to cut him loose. He can scream about persecution all he wants. He can threaten to get every Hollywood friend he has to boycott ABC shows.

At the end of the day, this isn’t about free speech. It’s about economics.

Advertisers don’t want their commercials running after a monologue where a host invents political motives around a fresh tragedy. Viewers aren’t really interested in it either because nothing said is funny and there’s a clear bias in the “jokes” they are being fed on a nightly basis.

Jimmy Kimmel got fired because he sucks at his job and ABC realized it was nothing more than bad business to keep him around, plain and simple.

So yeah, Jimmy can be “absolutely fucking livid.” He can be defiant. But the truth is, ABC was probably ready to move on anyway. Why deal with the PR mess when the format is failing and the host isn’t delivering ratings? Kimmel didn’t just get silenced, he gave his bosses the easiest reason possible to cut the cord.

And if this really is the end of Jimmy Kimmel Live, then fine. Maybe it sets the stage for the only comeback that makes sense: The Man Show 2.0. Bring back Carolla, bring back the trampolines, and let the culture war burn itself down.
