WATCH: Edmundo Sosa mashes 3 home runs vs the Miami Marlins

Kyle Schwarber entered MLB history books tonight vs the Miami Marlins but don’t forget about Edmundo Sosa, who has mashed three home runs of his own tonight in South Philly.

Kyle Schwarber enters MLB history books with Home Run No. 55 against Marlins

Edmundo Sosa got the start tonight in his first game back from injury and picked up right where he left off, crushing three home runs as the Phillies secured a first round bye with an 11-1 route of the Marlins.

Sosa made history with the most home runs in a single game by a Phillies shortstop. He finished the night going 3-for-5 with those homers and 5 RBIs.

Brutal drop from our friend on home run number three. He knew it too.

You just have to bring that one in. Instead, he fumbled it, the umpires had to stop to review if it was fan interference, and he was left in complete agony plastered all over the broadcast.

Tough look all around. He’s lucky that this is a night of celebration for The Fightins or else things could have taken a turn for the worst.

Anyways, the Phillies have a new franchise record with eight home runs tonight. They have officially clinched the No. 2 seed in the MLB postseason. They trail the Brewers by two games for the No. 1 seed in the National League with four games left.
