WATCH: Pitt and the ball boy at Louisville get into a wild altercation on the sidelines

College football is chaos, but even by those standards, what went down late in the first quarter between Louisville and Pitt was flat-out bizarre.

With under two minutes to play, cameras caught a group of Pitt players basically horsing around with a Louisville ball boy on the sideline and nobody seemed quite sure if it was good-natured fun or something that crossed a line.

USC transfer Miller Moss gift-wrapped Pitt a pick six that put the Panthers up 17-0, and when Rasheem Biles came jogging back with Louisville’s football, the kid in red was ready to scrap.

I’ve seen players chirp at fans, trash talk opponents, even get in with mascots. But a ball boy? That’s new territory. The whole thing felt wildly inappropriate coming from Pitt’s side, especially given the optics of college athletes messing with a kid just trying to do his job.

And yet… we have to admit the finishing move was hilarious. One of the guys busted out a euro-step layup into the stands like he was prime Manu Ginóbili, capping the whole scene in absurd fashion.

If it was meant to be playful, fine, but if it wasn’t? That’s a bad look, and somebody on sideline probably needs a quick reminder about boundaries.
