NFL Insiders just dropped the AJ Brown update every Eagles fan wanted to hear
Saturday started off with Dianna Russini trying to stir the pot again — claiming AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith were frustrated with the Eagles’ offense. Yeah, no kidding. The offense has been stuck in neutral and everyone in Philly knows it. But forgive us if we’re not panicking while the Birds are sitting somewhat pretty at 4-0.
Luckily, the real update came this morning — straight from NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo — and this one actually gives Eagles fans something to smile about.
The Real AJ Brown update
If the #Eagles are going to make another Super Bowl run, star WR AJ Brown will have to be a big part of their offense. They are confident in that going forward… and have no plans to trade him.

Look, AJ Brown being frustrated isn’t breaking news. The offense has been sloppy, the play-calling’s been predictable, and they currently rank 30th in total offense. That’s unacceptable for a roster this stacked. Every player on that side of the ball should be ticked off.
But Brown isn’t pouting — he’s owning it. After last week’s social media post sparked trade rumors, he shut it all down midweek:
“I just have to be better,” Brown said on Wednesday. “I’m passionate, but I love being an Eagle. I want to win here. That’s what matters.”
That’s the AJ Brown you want to hear from — the guy who plays angry and takes it personally when things aren’t clicking.
Rapoport: “Get A.J. the Ball Early”
According to Rapoport and Garafolo, the Eagles’ plan on Sunday against Denver is simple — feed A.J. Brown. And honestly, it’s about damn time.
“Expect quarterback Jalen Hurts to get him the ball early in Sunday’s game to emphasize this fact,” Rapoport wrote. “If Philly is going to make another Super Bowl run, it will need its top WR — who also happens to be one of the NFL’s best.”
That’s the message from the top down. No trade talks, no internal drama, just getting the ball to your best weapon.
Rapoport added that the Eagles completely shut down trade inquiries in the offseason:
“When teams called about trading for Brown, they were told, ‘No chance.’”
So, for all the fake insiders throwing out “AJ Brown trade rumors” — consider that officially dead.
