“We need to bury them.” “We want to end this tonight.” Blah blah blah.

You didn’t do any of that, and now, you’re fucked.

Not only did they let the sweep slip away, the Dodgers got embarrassed in front of their home crowd. 12 hits and 8 runs later, the Phillies got the win. And more importantly, they got hot. Kyle Schwarber recorded his second postseason multi-home run game of his career, Bryce Harper got going, Trea Turner looked alive. Hell, even Alec Bohm and Brandon Marsh got in the mix.

If you’re the Dodgers, you have to feel sick. It’s one thing to lose Game 3 and not pull off the sweep. That kind of stuff happens all the time. But to lose it in the fashion you did, leaving your franchise legend Clayton Kershaw out there to die in the 8th inning — they’re cooked.
