Hasan Piker is everything wrong with ‘fake activism’ in America
Hasan Piker is a Twitch streamer, self-proclaimed socialist, and full-time narcissist. He might genuinely be the final boss of the “nepo baby champagne Marxist” movement that everyone loathes on the internet. This loser is the walking embodiment of everything people hate about internet activism. He’s loud, hypocritical, and completely insulated from the world he claims to fight for.
Hasan Piker sits in a $3 million Los Angeles mansion, drives a $100K car, and streams for 10 hours a day complaining about America. Ironically enough, America is the same country that allows him to make millions doing absolutely nothing of substance. Piker calls capitalism evil while cashing in on sponsorships, donations, and subscription revenue.
Hasan Piker is not fighting the system; he is the system.
The Shock Collar Disaster
Just when you thought this guy couldn’t possible get any worse, he’s been all over social media timelines doing his same old schtick, while also abusing his dog, Kaya.
Hasan’s dog, Kaya, has long been part of his “on-stream aesthetic.” The cute, quiet Bernese mountain dog lays perfectly still in the background while he rants about oppression between DoorDash orders.
Now we know why Kaya doesn’t move.
Clips began circulating of Hasan using a shock collar to keep Kaya frozen in place for hours during his livestreams. When called out, his response was pure, polished gaslighting: “It’s not a shock collar, it’s just a vibrating collar.”
He even half-heartedly tried to “prove” it wasn’t true, holding the collar up to the camera while conveniently covering most of it with his fingers like he was performing a cheap magic trick. You could practically hear his brain begging, “Please don’t zoom in.”
The Pattern of Cruelty
Besides having an audience and streaming 10+ hours daily, spewing the most disgusting, Anti-American garbage you could possibly imagine from the comfort of his Los Angeles mansion, Hasan Piker has always been an all-around piece of shit.
This isn’t an isolated incident. Old clips resurfaced showing Hasan bragging about how he used to tie Kaya to his bed for hours so she wouldn’t move. There’s even older footage of him yanking another dog by its tail, calling it “training.”
That’s not training, you socialist scum, that’s called control and is classified as animal abuse. How ironic that it’s coming from the same guy who lectures his audience about empathy, liberation, and the moral decay of American society.
Hasan Piker preaches peace and compassion online, then shocks a living creature for daring to stretch its legs. You literally can’t make this stuff up.
The Bigger Picture
Hasan Piker is the avatar for an entire generation of rich, terminally online ideologues who think tweeting about socialism and the death of capitalism while abusing their dog makes them revolutionaries.
He once called not having local satellite-speed internet in a blue state a “microcosm of violence in America.” Then he literally commits actual violence against an animal… while streaming protests about oppression.
You couldn’t storyboard irony like this if you tried.
What Should Actually Happen
Of course there are political ties to all of this but really, it’s about decency.
No ideology, left or right, justifies cruelty to an animal. Hasan Piker deserves every ounce of fallout that comes with his behavior. There should be a full investigation by authorities, sponsorship pressure, and platform accountability that goes along with it.
If Twitch, YouTube, or any of his sponsors have a backbone, they should act accordingly. He shouldn’t be banned for what he believes but he should definitely be banned for what he does. If the online left wants to maintain even a shred of moral credibility, they should stop defending him just because he’s “on their side.”
Being progressive doesn’t give you a free pass to shock your dog and lie about it.
Hasan Piker has built a career off pretending to care.
He’s not a revolutionary. He’s not a hero. He’s a narcissist with a camera, a platform, and a dog he treats like furniture.
He spends every day railing against America while living the exact privileged lifestyle he claims to despise. He profits off outrage, weaponizes guilt, and hides behind ideology whenever someone points how obvious it is that he’s a total fraud.
If you ever needed a clearer picture of what performative activism looks like in 2025 ,it’s Hasan Piker sitting in his multimillion-dollar mansion, shocking his dog, and calling it “progress.”
