Draymond Green

WATCH: Draymond Green didn’t last 7 minutes into the NBA season before getting his first technical foul

Last night was the start of the 2025 NBA season and unfortunately, we didn’t even make it to the first commercial break before Draymond Green got hit with his first technical foul… while not even being on the court.

Draymond Green got hit with a technical foul from the bench, reminiscent to what we all witnessed last year when Joel Embiid suffered the same fate.

Draymond Green 1st quarter technical

Last year, Anthony Edwards was the NBA leader in technical fouls with 17 to go along with one ejection. Dillon Brooks was second with 16 techs and an ejection, followed by Isaiah Stewart with 14 techs and 3 ejections, and then we have Draymond Green with a solid 13 techs and an ejection of his own.

For whatever reason, it feels like Draymond Green is lightyears ahead of everyone. Maybe because of his track record and the national attention a player like Draymond gets on any given night in the NBA?

Last night was career technical 132. He received 18 technical fouls in the 2021-2022 season and 21 in the 2022-2023 season, which was the most in the league.

Regardless, there’s ever been a stat that perfectly sums up Draymond Green’s career. He doesn’t even sweat technicals anymore. In a generation of soft players where everyone’s buddy-buddy and nobody wants to get their feelings hurt, Draymond Green is still out here bringing it like it’s ’90’s. I respect that.
